A bright new noise has entered the dutch alternative rock scene. iVelvet was formed in 2013 in Utrecht, The Netherlands, by Bandy Soos (vocalist) and Erik de Groot (guitarist). November 2013 the band was at full strength with guitarist/backing vocalist Raymond Jager, bassist Roel Wiersema and drummer Jan Westveen. In 2014 iVelvet released their first demo-EP, Raw Cut, including among others Something Big, Pray and Persuasion. In the autumn of 2014 Roel Bouman joined the band on drums and iVelvet evolved towards an even more heavier rock sound. February 2015 iVelvet released their first official single Something Big. iVelvet is solid (as a) rock and inspired by a combination of grunge, stoner and indie rock bands. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/iVelvet">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
