Initial Gain is a formation of three performers initialized between 1982 and 1985. Annoyed by most of todays club music they decided to bring back what got lost a long time ago: a certain groove that makes your body want to move. Using modular synths, classic drummachines and old polyphonics, Initial Gain livesets always sound different and you won't hear the same set twice. They are raw, fluctuant and danceable. It's authentic, deep and sometimes out of tune. Depending on the type of event and the used equipment genres vary between ambient, acid, detroit techno, b-boy breaks and true electro. Initial Gain also run a studio situated in Berlin where they record songs and jam sessions. In August 2010 they released the (double) album Future Remnant / Moves & Steps.
