Hideous Sun Demon are a post-punk garage band from Fremantle, Western Australia. Formed in 2012-ish, the four-piece has grown on the local scene like a picked scab with their dirty guitar sound, schlock horror / stoner themes and psych shredding. In 2013 they released the 'Meat' EP, followed by their debut album 'Sweat' in 2014, both produced independently. In 2014 they embarked on an Australian tour funded in-part by their win in original band talent competition 'The Big Splash', and won the West Australian Music Industry award for Most Popular New Act. A second album is in the works.
