Herons Wake is the musical project of Jacob Bornheimer. Bornheimer makes his home in Ottawa, ON. His music has been described as "an eclectic mix of Indie Folk, Shoegaze and Dream Pop." Using an assortment of guitars, organs, and layered vocals he has created a sound that is all his own. With the release of the debut LP Landforms in 2013, Herons Wake moves towards a darker, louder, more abstract, and ethereal sound. The record has been described by the artist as "love songs to the canadian landscape." Bornheimer was formerly known as Otty Way. Following his move from his childhood house, he felt it was time for a new project. He released his debut E.P.
