1) General Interest is a punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. They have a unique sound, blending funk influences in with more traditional punk/hardcore. 2) General interest member's are a composer, a photographer, an industrial designer, an architect and a musician. All of the members are old friends with their own independent projects. But recently, we all got together to swap ideas, and started thinking about setting up a restaurant, the kind of place you would want to visit every day. We all live in the countryside, an hour and a half away from Tokyo by car, in a region that still retains its natural beauty. In keeping with the spirit of the area, our restaurant will also have rustic feel. At the same time as considering our restaurant location and design, we are also writing music to play and perform at the restaurant, designing the furniture, and preparing the photographs which will eventually hang on the walls. In a fluid way, these elements will in turn influence the restaurant's design. We hope to use download.com to present the music from this project to a wider audience.
