Fruit n’ Salads was established on November 18, 2007. Their first single, Show Me the Way, was completely composed by Piji. Their music is mostly easy-listening acoustic, with melodies in appealing rhythms and with touching lyrics. Named Fruit n’ Salads for their fresh performances and approach towards music, they hope to be admired and enjoyed like fruit and salad: who on earth doesn’t like fruit and salad? The personnel, Nadya Devi (vocalist), Ilmam Mukhlis a.k.a Piji (guitarist and composer), Della Achmad Fawaz (Bassist), Luthfan Widyanto (electric guitar), and Ariadita Ambara (Percussionist) first came together to work on their final project to become members of APRES! –a student band unit in the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)- and it was necessary for them to perform in their own event singing their own composed songs. As their first song got massive attention and was awarded “the best song” of the event, it encouraged them to keep writing songs in the “Acoustic Fusion” genre. They are now working on other new songs, with a new, better, and fresher concept for the Indonesian music audience.
