There are at least FIVE bands named From The Ashes. 1) A grindcore band from Västerås, Sweden. 2) A metalcore band from Argentina. 3) A metalcore band from Syracuse, NY. 4) A progressive rock band from Melbourne, AU. 5) A dutch black death metal band. From the Ashes is a metal band from The Netherlands, combining elements of melodic death, atmospheric black and many other styles like thrash and progressive metal. Influences: Amon Amarth, At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity, Death, Dimmu Borgir, Dissection, Naglfar, Wintersun The band’s founding members, guitarist Peter and vocalist Paul, teamed up in early 2009 based on some demo tracks recorded in Peter's home studio. They were quickly joined by Joris on synth and Raymond on bass. After almost a year of line-up changes, Ronald (drums) and Lennard (guitars) finally completed the band. Several months later, the band played their first gigs and made serious preparations to record a demo. But in November of 2010, From the Ashes parted with drummer Ronald, interrupting the band's progress. Finding a replacement proved difficult, as Oscar was added to the line-up but dropped again several months later. Shortly after that Joris quit the band, but the four remaining members immediately started preparations to finally record the long awaited demo Destruction's Dawn, which was released in May 2012. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/From+The+Ashes">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
