Fountainhead is the name of multiple bands.
1) Fountainhead is the alter-ego of (fretless) guitar player / composer / producer Tom Geldschläger, lead-guitarist for Obscura´s "Akroasis" album, member of instrumental prog band "Pitts/Minnemann Project" and regarded as the "Steve Vai of the new millenium" (quote: Christian Münzner). Endorsed by Soultool Guitars, Loxx, GoodTone Pickups, Steinberg Softward and Engl Amplification.
2) Fountainhead is an emocore band featuring Chris Traynor (Orange 9mm, Bush, Institute, Helmet, Rival Schools), Scott Winegard (Texas Is The Reason, New End Original), Larry Gorman (Asobi Seksu, Orange 9mm, Glassjaw, Head Automatica, Direct, Reach Out), Taylor McLam (Orange 9mm) and Bill Kiernan. They released one album in 1993 entitled, "Drain".
3) Fountainhead is a band from Charleston, SC that plays a eclectic mix of hardcore, alternative and sludge, reminiscent of bands such as The Chariot, Converge and Stray From the Path.
4) Fountainhead was a modestly successful indie-rock/synth pop band from the late '80s. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
