Forever Wings Fold was a post-hardcore band from Fullerton, California, United States formed in 2005. They came together from different bands with very different styles to form a truly driving, and powerful sound. The band consisted of members, Michael R. Johnson - lead vocals, Nick Depirro - guitar, backing vocals, Reilly Herrera - guitar, Aric Improta - drums, and Steve Franco - bass. With all sorts of musical influences, Forever Wings Fold has shown the ability to blend beautiful sing-a-long melodies, with very heavy, powerful elements to create a unique departure from other local, unsigned bands. In 2006, after two short demos, Forever Wings Fold took their new found writing styles to “For The Record" recording studio in Anaheim, California where they teamed up with Mixer/Producer Daniel Castleman, to create their debut entitled, “We Are The Media"; a six song look into the beginnings of the band. Forever Wings Fold most recent release Bravura truly shows the massive potential of these young individuals. Their performance has given them a reputation around Orange County for putting on an extremely high energetic live show. After 4 years of nonstop promoting, recording, and touring, Aric (drums), Nick (guitar) and Reilly (bass) found themselves stalled after a Mid-West tour in the summer of 2008. An abrupt end to their old band (Forever Wings Fold) caused a fit of creativity among the trio, who, in a period of 2-1/2 months wrote the upwards of 10 instrumental songs. The skeletons of those songs would soon be re-worked and transformed with the arrival of vocalist Marco Lira. Marco formerly fronted the long-lived InMemory. He not only has experience, (been on multiple US tours, released 2 CDs, sold out multiple well known venues) he is also known for his infectious writing styles and tongue-in cheek lyricism. His explosive delivery is sure to catch one's attention, both live and on record. The energy between the group is refreshing. Their uncanny ability to mix musical complexity with great hooks and smart structure is undeniable. The group is heading into the studio to record their first batch of songs in early January.
