With their catchy songs and energetic liveshow, Five Years Later built up their loyal fanbase over the last few years. Inspired by bands like Inspection 12, New Found Glory and No Use For A Name, they play their own style of ultimately catchy poppunk- to really fast skatepunksongs. With their catchy songs and energetic liveshow, Five Years Later built up their loyal fanbase over the last few years. Inspired by bands like Inspection 12, New Found Glory and No Use For A Name, they play their own style of ultimately catchy poppunk- to really fast skatepunksongs. Since the year of 2001, Five Years Later have played over 60 shows all over the Benelux, with bands like Belvedere, The Apers, No Children, Against Time, Mark Foggo and Intwine, bringing their own sound to all kinds of venues and festivals.
After having already built up a loyal fanbase around hometown Amersfoort, the release of the first demo ‘When it comes to patience’ in april 2003 brought them more exposure over the rest of the country. The EP sold out in no-time and positive reviews were written in different magazines and webzines. The first EP, the bands’ energetic liveshow and the victory at 2003’s “sCoolcontest” earned Five Years Later a place on different compilations, such as Sweater For Sale, Pleurop Plaat 2 and the Up Magazine Sampler. After an amount of positional changes, the band finally seems to have the ultimate line-up to live up fully to their potential and as a result, ‘Good intentions’ was recorded and released in the beginning of 2005 and hopefully it’s only the start of greater things to come! <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Five+Years+Later">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
