Kicking it off as a heavy metal band, Five Mile Line started off as a sad poser-group with no name. Eventually we had to coem up with a name because we were invited to play at Waterstreet Music Hall (a major venue in the Rochester Area). The first name was Gray Sun. After that show, Grayson (The lead guitarist) was expelled from the band, and the remaining three turned punk. The following year the trio played another show at Waterstreet under the name of Revile. This time they fianlly rocked the house, hearing congratulations from all who watched. After this show, the band found out there was another rock group called Revile, somewhere in South Africa. (?!?!?!?!?!). They were forced to change names yet again, this time deeming themselves m10MeG (Em-Ten-Meg). They played private parties, local shows, etc., and became increasingly popular in the area. The unpopularity of the name m10MeG forced them, once again, to change their name.
