Espumas y Terciopelo is a mexican folkloric pop band from Guadalajara, Mexico. When Memo and Maricha were on a month long trip to Chiapas, they found themselves in need of a job. Getting a mundane job as waiters didn't really fit with their traveling agenda, so they started to look for a job singing mexican boleros. They found that they didn't really know many boleros, so they started writing their own. After a while, they had enough material for an album. Back in their hometown, they sang at weddings, while recording their own songs.
