ERIC DELAY Was born in August, 14, 1986, in a strange town named Ulyanovsk. From the verychildhood his parents have been helping him to develop his creative personality. Eric's first serious musical discovery takes place at the age of 7, and that is 'Enigma'. "For quite a while, I was absolutely keen on their music, and didn't imagine a day without listening to it. That was a kind of miracle for a little boy, a portal into another world which is filled with expressionism". Then, a year later Eric decides to get himself copies of the records and make some changes with it: by cutting the tapes into small fragments, re-arranging and making it together again, he gets unimaginable results. "With such experiments, I collected the pieces of tapes and that made a sort of sample library, I used the 'samples' to build surrealistic compositions and then distributed the copies among my friends and relatives". In 1996 Eric discovers electronic music on a 'new level', as it gets more into his mind. In 2001 he makes first attempts at writing his own music using PC. In 2002 he founds a virtual project 'Fortunate Sleep' with the aim of producing sequenced atmospheric music. In 2004 Eric goes fully into minimalism and starts to experiment under the name Eric Delay.
