Embarrassing Fruits formed in Greensboro, NC, in 2006. After the breakup of Joe Norkus' band Mortar and Pestle, he formed Embarrassing Fruits with former Straight No Chaser bandmate John Neville and then-girlfriend Andi Baker. After Andi moved to Mexico, the band went through a few different bassists before finding Lee Shaw, who joined the band permanently on bass and vocals.
