Forming in very late 2008, Delirium Tremens are a four piece heavy post grunge rock band who tackle a wide variety of styles, moods and dynamics in their music.
The band have won praise from some of the most influential names in new music in the UK being showcased on national Radio one, with their song Barabas making it onto National radio one by BBC Radio One DJ Huw Stevens, while the song has received regular rotation on BBC's ATL show for sometime, and now Rory McConnell's Radio One Introducing show. The band were also invited to the BBC studio's to record a two track session for Rory McConnell's influential show.
Delirium Tremens' earned a support slot with international Kiwi band, The Datsuns with the performance garnering major press coverage, impressing Kerrang! as well as gaining mentions in Hotpress and national press.
The band have had a series of positive reviews, were one of ATL's upcoming bands for 2009, showcased on BBC 2's coverage of the Féile Festival, supported American band High Places at Queen's University's Radar night, and headlined at the annual international Tattoo convention in Dublin amongst their many appearances.
They've been compared to artists as diverse as Dinosaur Jr, Queens of the Stone Age, King Crimson, Sonic Youth and even Primus, and more recently to Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine and Kyuss by ATL, and have a reputation for being one of the hardest hitting, and loudest bands in the Capital.
The band is currently involved in contract negotiations, details of which are expected to emerge shortly.
