David Buchalter is a PhD student at the University of Arizona. He focuses on Medieval and Early Modern English literature, especially in Chaucer and Shakespeare. He earned his M.A. in Medieval English Literatures at the University of York, England, and his B.A. at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. In addition, he studied for one year at the University of Hull, England. He taught ESOL at Quinsigamond Community College for two years and has taught EFL in China. An Americorps volunteer for a year, David taught reading and math in grades 4-6 at an inner-city school. He was the lead singer and guitarist of a musical ensemble for six years and has performed in both England and New England.
