Inspired by musical artists who constantly push the boundaries of their genre, Darwin Champagne started writing in early 2017 in his home town of Sarasota, Florida. In August of 2017, Champagne teamed up with local SRQ musician Brady Miller on his first single, providing lyrics, production, and composition for the project. "Slow Motion" was released on October 13th, 2017 through The Park Records, a label Champagne helped create and manage. On December 8th 2017, Champagne and Miller released their second single "Just a Dozen Roses" which highlights the decline of a relationship and the thoughts that lead up to an ending.
