Hailing from Rotorua, Gisborne and Feilding New Zealand respectively, Luke Hale, Corinna Watts and Carl Watkins met and joined forces in the middle of the mighty Waikato to create Daisy Chain Halo in 2001. A trio of emotional intensity and driving energy, the band expand their heavy sound beyond what you would expect of a minimalist line-up of vocals, acoustic guitar, bass and drums.
Daisy Chain Halo won both The Waikato Band Experiments NZ, Waikato Battle of the Bands NZ, and the Waikato regional final of the NZ Battle of the Bands competitions in 2001, performing in the national final of the latter, where Corinna was awarded Best Bassist.
Along with numerous shows up, down and around the North Island of NZ between 2001 - 2005, the trio enjoyed a triumphant debut tour of Melbourne, Australia in 2002, released their sole EP nationwide in 2004 to rave reviews, completed their first New Zealand tour of both islands in 2005, and finished their path together later that same year, culminating with one last live recording for posterity (as yet unreleased).
Daisy Chain Halo ended as an entity in late May 2005 but have remained good friends, with all three members continuing on different musical journeys.
