Dada Life is a Swedish DJ duo from Stockholm, Sweden, consisting of Olle Cornéer (aka Dibaba or Night Gestalt) and Stefan Engblom (aka Phasio or Phatzoo). The duo was formed in 2006 and had early chart success in Belgium and the Netherlands, while their second album The Rules of Dada reached the Billboard 200.
They are known for their humour during their live performances, which includes lots of inflatable bananas and inflatable champagne bottles.
In March 2014 Engblom was forced to abandon performing due to a medical emergency. In September 2014, Cornéer was diagnosed with cancer and took a temporary absence from performing. In 2015 he released the album "One" under the name Night Gestalt. He has since been declared cancer-free.
In September 2017, Cornéer announced his intent to stop touring as part of Dada Life due to health concerns, but made it clear that his concerns had nothing to do with his 2014 cancer diagnosis. He continues to produce in-studio with Engblom, whilst Engblom tours.
The name Dada Life comes from the absurdist movement of "dadaism" from the early twentieth century.
Dada Life additionally hold two Guinness World Records, for the world's largest pillow fight and the largest gathering of people dressed as fruit. Read more on Last.fm.
