"In early 2020, Nightwish and their crew were getting ready for world tour/ In mid-March, COVID hit with full force, essentially stopping the entertainment industry dead in its tracks. For how long, nobody knew. During the weeks and months it became clear that COVID-19 had escalated into a pandemic and would not leave us in awhile. The world tour was supposed to begin in March in China. First the spring dates were cancelled, then the summer, then the rest of the year. Over 80 shows vanished from the itinerary. Situations like this are bound to make one feel powerless - until the legendary Finnish sisu kicks in. This was also the case with the Nightwish crew, who were not ready to lie down and die but decided to do something about it instead. In mid-May an idea was born of a project called Crewish. The guys decided to arrange their own cover versions of five Nightwish hits, hoping to alleviate their dire financial straits caused by cancelled tour. A quick call to Tuomas and the band`s manager Ewo sealed the deal, and the guys began work immediately........"
