My Name is Compton Robinson and I’m a young experience drummer available for session recording and live Gigs. I have been playing various venues with different bands and recording in several projects in New York for over 7 years. I have played in festivals for afro punk to Brooklyn’s hip hop festival underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. My styles vary from jazz, Latin, bossa nova, hip hop, funk, afro beat and blues. I have opened up for acts like Janelle Monae, Talib Kweli, De La Soul and Keith Murray. My studio is equipped with Pro Tools LE, Shure Drum mics, KRK Monitors, Blue Tube pre amps, Isolation room and live stage area also with 30ft high ceiling for natural reverb. I can record off an 8 track to 16 track multi channel board and have contacts to the finest young musicians that New York can offer from various styles and instruments. I also can play on an electronic kit with my Roland spd-s pad or cross over between an acoustic field and back to electric.
