City Escape was a progressive post-hardcore band from Melbourne, Australia. City Escape was formed in August 2007 and immediately started writing songs and hit the stage. A few months later in January 2008 they released a 4 song demo which appeared on Myspace and could be downloaded for free. As the months have gone on since the demos release the band has gone on to play a substantial number of shows across Australia and has supported acts such as: Thrice, Closure In Moscow, All Time Low, Elora Danan, Craig Owens, House Vs. Hurricane, Set Your Goals and Forgiven Rival. They recorded their EP in 2008 at Electric Sun Studios in Sydney with Dave Petrovic and Shane Edwards. The EP is named Avalanches an was released in 2009, released on Taperjean/Shock Records.
