Chainsaw Harakiri was formed in Denver, Colorado, USA in June 22nd, 2013. The majority of the band's lyrics and imagery are based on guro hentai. The band plays a predominant cybergrind/goregrind style, making use of inhaled/exhaled gurgles, pitch-shifted squeals, and high-pitched shrieks, rapid-fire computerized drums, heavily downtuned guitar riffs, and samples, augmenting them with slam brutal death metal-style breakdowns in order to create a primal yet discordant sound. Chainsaw Harakiri is heavily influenced by Mortician, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, and Last Days Of Humanity. The band consists of two core members: Joe "Gorelord" DeQuasie (lead vocals) and Josh "Shinobi" Barber (various instruments) and has seen it's changes in members, generally between vocalists and guitarists.
