There are at least two different bands named Catastrophe Ballet. The first Catastrophe Ballet was formed in 1989 by Eric Burton in Bitburg, Germany. In 1991 the first album "Monologues of the Past and the Future" was released from the band's own label (Etage Records) followed by touring along side acts such as Shadow Project, Mephisto Walz, and Faith & The Muse.
