Formed in 1994, Brand X Savior created a musical foundation from rock and metal from the 80's, and 90's, combined with the multitude of diverse musical influences each member brought to the band. This cacophonous mixture formed the "Power Grüüv" that was Brand X Savior's signature sound. Influences came from bands such as Tool, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers, (Old) Metallica, Deftones, Pantera and Kyuss. Brand X Savior was active from 1994 until 2010, at which point their personal Lives, Careers, and Other Commitments made it impossible to continue at the breakneck pace of Rehearsals, Recording, and Performances they were known for. Brand X Savior was managed by Sacramento Legend Mark Gilmore, and in 2018 with Mark's Diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer, they helped put together a benefit show for Mark and his family at the infamous Boardwalk in Orangevale CA. The show cast performances by many bands that were active at the time, but also managed to pull several defunct bands back together (such as Save & Continue and Paper Coma) for a performance to show their love for Mark and all that he contributed to the Sacramento Scene over the years. Brand X Savior has never considered themselves "Broken Up", they consider themselves a family that has bigger things to tackle at the moment than their love of music. They still talk of the fact that they have quite a back catalogue of material that they would love to record and release, if only for posterity and their own personal gratification. So with a little luck, maybe someday the world will see and hear them again.
