Boy Kills Girl is an 8-Bit Electro Duo formed by members Soriah Sobbizadeh (Vocals) and Mike Maramag (Synths, Electronica, Programming). Soriah is from Ukiah, CA, while Mike comes from Concord, CA, but they met in Santa Cruz, CA. Mike is influenced by progressive bands such as Between the Buried and Me and Electronic Superstars like Crystal Castles--these bands posit utilizing genre-bending as the main component for their success. Mike's philosophy about music has to do with a constant mediation between imitation and innovation--creating something close to perfect balance between the organic and artificial is always an endeavor.
