BLEEDBEFORETHESKIES is a hardcore/screamo/metalcore band consisting of vocalist Mikey Yankovich, guitarist Jake Bratrude, guitarist/bassist Matt Yankovich, and guitarist Tommy Poppa. Formed in early 2008 by guitarist/vocalist David Wu, guitarist Tommy Poppa, drummer Tyler Salinas, and vocalist James McCrory in Danville, CA, the band recorded a three song demo at Lightning Studios in Concord, CA with engineer Jon Leydon, who also provided vocals. The band was later joined by new vocalist Mikey Yankovich, drummer of the bands Last Year's Best, Sink This Ship!, and He Said, She's Dead, and Jake Bratrude, lead guitarist of Dublin, CA band One Flew West. After playing shows through 2008 and into 2009, BBTS went and recorded a self-titled EP with Sam Pura of The Panda Studios (Heavy Heavy Low Low, I Shot the Sheriff). After the departure of founding guitarist Wu, and drummer Salinas, the band announced it's breakup in early 2010, however, they recently reunited in September of 2010.
