For this joint effort, The Octopus Project dissected select tracks from Black Lipstick's "Converted Thieves" album on their laptops, recycling, reversing and reverberating BL's squalling guitars and steady rock beats to create something entirely new, entirely original, and entirely danceable. Listening to the final mix is much like recognizing rusted bicycle parts in a scrap-metal sculpture — the end product bears little resemblance to the original except for the parts from which it was constructed — and after intensive market testing at random Texas parties yielded booty-shaking results, the EP was dubbed "Foam Party" and rushed to stores. The four remixes are tweaked and dancy, Octopus Project-style, and appear alongside an unreleased BL bonus track, "Funky Soldiers," leftover from the "Converted Thieves" sessions.
