Black Heaven is a futurepop band from Germany. Black Heaven was founded in 2001 by German musician and artist Martin Schindler. A year earlier, Schindler had already launched the metal project Mantus. With Black Heaven he wanted to implement the idea of ​​working more with electronic elements than is possible with a metal project. In terms of atmosphere, the music can be found in the black scene, where most of the fans can be found. In order to be able to realize alternating singing with a female voice, the singer Tina Schindler (“Thalia”), sister of Martin Schindler, is part of the project, as with Mantus. All instruments and electronic sounds are recorded by Martin Schindler. Black Heaven is purely a studio production, so there are no live performances. About the choice of the band name itself, Schindler says: “In general, when it comes to band names, it is always important to me that the name captures the atmosphere of the music and can perhaps also reflect it. With Black Heaven it is simply the metaphor of a black, empty sky.
