At Hailey's is a finnish sleaze-hardrock band, formed in Elimaki, Southern Finland in 2006. The band started with covers and eventually continued by writing own songs. At Hailey's quickly earned reputation playing in the local clubs and bars. Especially their agressive and energetic stageperformance often set the crowd on fire and rocking in front of the stage. Early Days Way back in 2006, Tero, Joonas, Esa and Tuukka were playing and jamming in the local youth club with their current drummer Jyrci. They were making music for their own purposes, which didn't please the drummer so quite quickly he resigned from the band in the early 2007. Hailey's continued as a four-member-band. Pretty soon after that boys had an offer to go and practice to the former gym located in the community hall. The settings in their new training base were far superior to previous and there At Hailey's took the next step in their career. The Treenis times: Boys trained their performance and songs hard and began to impress themselves and everyone who had heard them play. Soon became the time for their first gig, in the youth leisure camp at Tolkkila mansion. The place wasn't very big, but boys performed short and energetic set including mainly coversongs, such as Blitzkrieg Bop (The Ramones), Fade to Black(Metallica) and Slither (Velvet Revolver). The band didn't have a singer that time, so some of the songs were instrumental and Jones sang the blitzkrieg bop. Approx. 150 new teenage Hailey's fans were enjoying their time. In The audience was also their to-become-singer Ville. After the first gig the boys were heading to the bigger stages, starting to practice more and more, but realized one thing: they needed a singer. Tero and Tuukka invited their classmate Jacko (who atleast looked like a rocker) to audition to the singer's place. He singed allright, but both sides agreed that his singing just didn't match the bands style. At the same time they invited Ville to jam with them. He played drums and the multitalented Tero moved to play the keyboards. They tried rotating the singer turn after turn, but eventually decided that Ville was the right man to the singers spot. They picture looked good: long haired Ville fitted his place and the band was ready to plan their future. Soon their first single, the almighty Son of Midnite was ready affecting highly positive to the bands mood. Between november 2007 and march 2008 boys trained hard (and sometimes not as hard) working their performance getting it rock ! Their next gig was set to Elimaki High School's Spring concert in may. Jones was working in the cemetary at the time and kept missing the practice, so they decided to play the set by one guitar. The concert schedule was tight 'cause of all the wannabe's who apparently insisted to play in the same concert with local rocker heroes. The name At Hailey's wasn't in the picture yet that time and the school's genious music teacher decided to call the band Esa and the boys. The boys played as the grande finale of the concert performing their future bravura Kickstart My Heart by Mötley Crüe. The timing was terrible and despite the success a part of the audience had to leave before the end leaving the hall half-empty. Pissed-off band decided to take a little summer-break and focus on partying and heavy drinking. In june, some saturday afternoon Tuukka and Ville were drinking whiskey and eventually came up with the name At Hailey's. In june Jones joined the army force for a year and the band was training four membered. In august they started playing in the training room again, and the next performance was scheduled to late september in Koria, The Annual Youth Fair. Their by the time biggest audience, about 300 persons were watching as the Finnish Big Brother winners hosted At Hailey's to the stage. The Fair didn't have any age limit, so Hailey's set a rather clean gig of some 7 songs ( Slither, We Might Fall Apart, Rakastaa / Ei Rakasta, Son of Midnite etc). The Basement times - the rising: At Hailey's had now moved down the youth center's basement to practice and play. The room was big with some special equipments such as coffeemaker and pooltable, and had great acoustics.The next episode on their career was their friends birthday party at Alppiruusu bar & restaurant in october. The gig was so far their best, and gave Hailey's reputation all over their county. With At Hailey's there were also performing Sir Christus, the ex-guitarist of the succesfull band from Tampere, Negative. The boys played a few gigs at Alppiruusu during the next couple of months, and they became a regular sight there. In May 2009, Hailey's were going to watch a band contest to Alppis, when the organizer of the competition called Tuukka and asked them to participate and take the place for some random band who had cancelled. Within an hour of the call Hailey's boys were on stage rocking the s*it out of the crowd. They became second, losing only a point to some rapper or something.
