Ashenheart is made up of Amanda Kauffman (all instruments and lyrics) from Michigan USA, and Alex Loach (Vocals) from Hampshire UK. The duo started out as friends on Twitter, with a mutual interest in black and death metal.
Amanda had been working on the material for the album that would become Ashenheart's debut "Faded Gold" since 2011, and the project came to fruition in spring 2024 with the addition of Alex as vocalist.
"Faded Gold" was released in July 2024 via Syrup Moose Records.
The duo have a wide range of influences, ranging from classic heavy metal, to atmospheric black metal, to video game soundtracks. They currently have no plans to play their material live, Ashenheart being a studio only project at present.
In September 2024, Ashenheart released Standalone single, House of the Daemon, at the same time recruiting Steve Wiener (Also Am I In Trouble? & Negative Bliss) to the band for secondary guitars, keys and backing vocals.
This new line-up releases EP "Tales From Eternal Dusk" via Fiadh Productions in April 2025, with Alex taking over lyrical duties for this outing. Read more on Last.fm.
