Born and raised in Philly Aquil is a lifelong appreciator and student of music. Writing lyrics here and there he never really took music making serious until stumbling across his song writing skill with friends Rox and Cash. Spoofing popular hip hop songs, he began to take it serious making music that sounded good to friends and family. After graduating Temple U he decided to take on a career in music with many opinions on his plate. Working with X-factor beats, whom he met while organizing at Temple University, and Writtenhouse Aquil is one artist that will usher in a new age of musical heights, return MCing to its proper form. In depth lyricism next level production with influences from blues jazz funk and boom bap, Aquil displays a wide array of influences in his music.
