Mexican vocalist who also is the name of her eponymous band. She is also the vocalist of Edenwar.
Anna Fiori was born on May 29th 1991, in Mexico City, and has become one of the most acclaimed metal singers in Latin America. She has been an integral part of Mexico's metal scene since 2006.
She started her professional career in musical theater when she was four years old. Besides her extensive study of contemporary singing, she has also studied vocal production, music business, and carries vocal coaching certification in Mexico and the Unites States. She has also worked as a model, actress, lyricist, and short stories writer.
At 17 years old she recorded her first full-length metal album. Since then, she has recorded 8 productions with her solo project, and more than 30 feats with various well-known Latin American and European bands.
In 2013, Anna recorded her first album for her solo project, “Magna Mater” , written and composed by herself, becoming the first female singer in Mexico of her musical genre to record a soloist album. “Magna Mater” received great reviews and comments from press upon its release.
Anna Fiori co-created music with the European-based symphonic epic metal project Edenwar in 2015. Other notable collaborators in Edenwar were Fabio Lione (Rhapsody / Angra), Christian Vidal (Therion), Timo Somers (Delain), Chen Balbus , and Idan Amsalem (Orphaned Land) among others. This project led Anna to join Rhapsody Reunion as guest singer on their final tour around Mexico, featured in "Symphony of Enchanted Lands" in 2017, while she released her second solo album, “In Ohtli Tonalli” .
Since then, Anna Fiori has traveled the world from local concerts to the biggest festivals with outstanding response in countries like Peru, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. One of her favorite shows was at Domination 2019 where, performing on the same stage as KISS , she elicited an overwhelmingly positive response from thousands of festival viewers. Anna is backed by talented band members Arturo Ferrante (keyboards), Ignacio Fontán Blanch (drums), Juan Carrizo (guitar), Markov (guitar) and Voltan Acat (bass).
In 2019, Anna released a semi-acoustic EP called "De La Tierra" . The EP expanded her already very-wide musical horizons and demonstrated a new side of her artistic and interpretative qualities. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of her first album and all her physical albums being sold-out, she decides to release a special version in 2023 that includes the reissue of "Magna Mater" and "In Ohtli Tonalli" , along with a new EP which presents modern, orchestral and previously unreleased versions of her project, announcing also the planned 2024 release of her third full-length album.
She has released 2 singles to date, "Ansiedad" (2020) along with a series of stories written by her followers to support people who suffered from anxiety during the pandemic, and "Torments of My Past" (2023), one of her few songs in English with Jonathan Thorpenberg (The Unguided) as a special guest.
Her albums have been awarded nationally and internationally. Some outstanding examples are: Vocalist of the Year at Radioactive Awards 2019 , two awards for Best Album of the Year at the Osmium Metal Awards 2018 . Vocalist of the Year at the Osmium Metal Awards 2018 . Best Artist of the Year at Victorian Goth 2018 . Diva of the Year in Dark Metal Divas 2018 .
