A Middle Sex are the Manchester trio of Matthew Ashworth, Karl Sveinsson and Edwin Stevens. Originally functioning as a noise/no wave duo with former drummer Philip Sykes, their sound has since blossomed and incorporated a range of influences such as dub, minimal techno, field recordings, tape loops and drone, stapled together with the free sensibility of improvisation.
