1999 WRITE THE FUTURE is the name of a somewhat mysterious hiphop / jazz project launched by 88rising, an Asian company that has been described "Asian hiphop's Disney" by its CEO, Sean Miyashiro. Three singles were released under the 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE moniker in 2023, each recorded by a totally different roster of musicians. The first single, 'World Stop Turning', turned out to be a collaboration of Indonesian rappers, Rich Brian and Warren Hue, with K-Pop artist, Zion.T. None of them returned on single #2, 'Mint Chocolate', which featured members of jazz band, BadBadNotGood, alongside rappers Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine.
