The record producer/ex-Evanescence co-writer and keyboard player David Hodges fronted band was formerly called Trading Yesterday. The Age of Information (formerly known as "[artists]Trading Yesterday") is an American alternative rock band originally formed in 2002 by David Hodges and Mark Colbert, and later joined by Steven McMorran. In 2004, The Age of Information released a demo CD titled The Beauty and the Tragedy, and after signing with Epic Records later that year, they released their first single, "One Day", in the summer of 2005, along with an announcement for the upcoming album "More Than This. After a premature end to their contract with Epic Records, the album "More Than This" was shelved until 2011, when it was finally released independently by David Hodges' Sleepwalker Records. With the release of the long-awaited EP, Everything is Broken, came a change of name and genre, moving away from acoustic-based rock to electronica. The band members remain anonymous at the moment, giving themselves the names "The Mystic", "The Martyr", "The Architect" and "The Medicine". Although the three are not known, "The Martyr" is believed to be David Hodges, since in the Trading Yesterday song "She is the Sunlight" the lyrics go as "I'm the martyr, and love is to blame." Also a new song on the Everything is Broken EP, Outside, has the lyrics "I'm a faithless martyr." Read more on Last.fm.
