There are at least 3 artists using the name Seagrave.
1. Seagrave is the solo project of J.J. of Harakiri For The Sky formed in 2014 seeking "to meld shoegazing black metal, melodic post-hardcore, and D-beat death metal".
2. Seagrave is founded by Petri Isomäki (orig. bass & voc), Vesa Kolu (dr) and Karri Tiljander (gt) in 2004.
The original idea was to play Bruce Dickinson cover material. Timo Vesterinen (bass) and Ari-Matti Rintala (gt) joined the group during 2004 and 2005. Soon after this the band began to make more own material so less cover songs were needed.
The first gig was in April 2006 with 5 cover and 5 own songs.
In the fall of 2006 the band released it’s first 4-song cd.
Petri planned to concentrate on the guitar and the band was looking for a perfect vocalist.
In fall 2007 after several candidates, they saw a speck of light at the end of the tunnel, Sammy Salminen from Ancara professed his interest in joining the group. The very first rehearsal demonstrated that there was no question, he was the right man for the job.
The feeling was mutual…
In fall 2007 Seagrave began the recordings for a new album which is mixed and will be mastered in spring 2009. Good is worth waiting for...
