The Catalan label Bankrobber continues to increase its roster with the signing of Ran Ran Ran, a Barcelona duo formed by Ferran Baucells and Jordi Farreras that has just debuted with a self-titled album that hits home in edgy folk, lo-fi pop and delicate melodies. The band started to attract attention with three demos of an audacious fusion of folk and electronic music, but it is this third record produced by Arnau Vallvé, Manel’s drummer, that has put Ran Ran Ran and in particular Baucells, in a prominent position on the Catalan folk scene, succeeding in looking towards americana without losing sight of its identity or lyrical depth. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Ran+Ran+Ran">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
