~ I started Gyoza back in 2007 when I discovered I could record music in my basement in Beavercreek, Ohio. Since then, a lot has changed. There was kind of a big food theme at first (i.e. the band name, the 1st song "TV Dinner") but the music was still pretty experimental. Now I've moved the project into a more serious manner, dropping the humour but keeping the name.
Most of the early material can be found on "Clean EP" and "Bland, Bitter Attempt", where I was recording with a USB microphone into my computer. I switched over to much-more convenient 4-track recording, and have so far recorded about 2 demos, "Gyoza 09" and a 6 track teaser for one of the next albums. That's right, just ONE of the next albums. I first wrote material for what shall be known as "SSTS" from 2008 to 2009, and in 2010 I experimented more with Drop C tuning and wrote material for what shall be known as "Bipolarity Peaks". Look forward to the release of these 2 albums in the near future, as soon as I gather some band members, something I've been unsucessful at for the past 4 years...~ Nick Farr Read more on Last.fm.
