Angel F, Is the CEO and founder of Direct Drive Digital a Chicago based house music label. Born in Elgin IL in 1975, he was heavily influenced throughout his child hood by his aunt and uncle who Djed (disco, funk, & italo) through the 70's and early 80's. In the late 80's early 90's he moved to Aurora IL, where he became a member of renowned Them Badd Apples crew and was further influenced by Dj Rogue1, and various other local and radio Dj's such as Hip House Ricky, Brian Middleton, & Bad Boy Bill to name a few. In the mid to late 90's Angel switched his focus from Djing to production alongside long time friend Jon Kennedy (USA) and proceeded to make countless tracks, eventually catching the eye of Bobby D a Dj of B96 and owner of Jasper Stone Records he signed a couple tracks that would label be featured on The B96 Mix Master Throwdown Vol 5. Gaining notoriety Angel soon signed a release with Dj Miggy of Fusion Records in Chicago, to great reviews being played by and charted by Chicago legends Dj Funk, Dj Jes, and Gene Farris, the release went on to sell over 5000 copies at Chicago record store Hot Jams alone. On the heels of signing with several Chicago based labels Angel was contacted by west coast house mogul Joseph F., Angel & Jon headed to the west coast where they went on to do guest mixes on Richard "Humpty" Vission's Powertools mix show on Power 106 in L.A. Angel was also a featured Dj at the popular Hollywood club The Dome ( Florentine Gardens) sharing the deck with Richard "Humpty" Vission, La Rock, Tony B, George Centeno, and Pete Lorimar. Currently Angel's label Direct Drive Digital has over 150 releases to its credit and has gave birth to several other sub labels on beatport.com including, Prompt Digital, Peak Hour Music, Jigsaw Recordings, Sick Recordings, Immense Recordings, Pivital Recordings, Andromeda Recordings, Trebol Records, Upbeat Records, Munchie Recordings, Dirty Drumz Digital, to name a few.
