"picopico" (Pico Pico pop) is a tongue-in-cheek genre name or style used to describe experimental electronic music that utilizes unique and novelty instruments such as cellphones, keyboards, toys, game consoles, synthesizers as well as real instruments. It resembles what is more known as 8bit, chiptune or Shibuya-kei music with slight differences, as not all the music is composed with console sound chips and can span any genre.
